The first 2 weeks of this month focused on getting the last part of the trenches for the water mains and drains dugout. Despite the rain and wind, this was completed leaving the new water pipes to be shaped, soldered and laid.
With the pipes laid, insulation pipe wrap was put around the pipes to protect them from frost damage.
The hot water circuit for the cottage and annexe have been laid in such a way so once the boiler is installed in the cottage, which will be the primary boiler, this will provide hot water to both cottage and annexe. Should this malfunction, a switch of pipes via a tap will allow the boiler in the annexe to provide the hot water supply.
