The start of a new year and the beginning of taking down more plaster from the internal walls. Also the demolition of the partition walls on the ground floor of the cottage.
To start off with, the original window to the rear of the cottage was made into a cupboard. As it was, the cupboard needed much-needed attention to fix it. So this was taken out completely to make room for a much better design cupboard that will benefit both the rear entrance hall and the dining room.
The stairs hold a hazard for those using them. So eventually these will be replaced with a much better design that will meet modern building regulations. Hence why the partition wall and understairs cupboard were dismantled.
