Digging up the kitchen floor commenced with an amazing find of an assortment of glass bottles from local breweries such as Keegan & Flanagan, Holyhead, J K & S Ltd, H & A Gilley Ltd, and more. These will most likely have been buried under the kitchen floor since around 1903.
It took some time to clean these, but it was worth the task just to see how lovely they look.
The utility, back entry and bathroom floors were dug up and the cottage was ready for a new floor to be installed.
Work digging up the annexe floor commenced toward the end of the month. However, with the pandemic of Coronavirus, work at the cottage ceased due to the national lockdown.
