Most of August was taken up clearing out all of the plaster gathered in the centre of the floors in each of the rooms of the cottage ready for the stone walls to be cleaned and pointed.
The stones on the floor are to fill in any small gaps as pointing is done to the walls. 
The downstairs bedroom already looks grand now the fireplace has been opened up. 
The first lot of lime mortar ready for starting to point the stone walls.
